This is a French viscose blend fabric with a lot of lurex, woven as a duchesse satin with the lurex effect on the reverse.
This one in turquoise and coppery gold lurex on a black ground. It shifts with movement, and reads more turquoise in one direction, more gold in the other. It would make beautiful tailored dresses, jackets and coats.
