Information for International Customers
Orders for Export to the European Union
Since the UK left the EU, VAT is no longer charged to our EU customers by the UK government on orders leaving the country, as has always been the case with international orders. The price quoted on the site is the price you will pay.
All export orders come with a liability to the customer to pay any and all local import charges and taxes.
The main change for EU customers is that you may be liable to pay import taxes and customs fees on your order.
This is not a charge we set or are involved in collecting, it is set by your government at their rates and collected on their behalf by the delivering courier in your country.
If you have any queries regarding this, they need to be directed towards your Customs Department.
Top Fabric will not declare any false indication on the customs forms to avoid or reduce these fees.
About U.S. Tariffs and Import Fees
When ordering from our UK-based store, U.S. customers should be aware that international shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, or tariffs imposed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
These charges are set by the U.S. government, not by us, and we have no control over the rates or the decision to charge them. Additionally, we do not collect or receive any of these fees — they are handled entirely by the shipping carrier and U.S. Customs during the import process.
In many cases, smaller packages may arrive without additional fees, but this depends on the value of your order and current regulations. If charges do apply, the delivery carrier may contact you for payment before releasing your order.
We’re always here to help if you have any questions about international shipping!
